CAPACITY TO MANAGE FOR RESULTS

GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat has received a grant from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in an amount equivalent to US$374,008 towards the cost of the project ‘Implementation of DevInfo and Strengthening Capacity to Manage for Results’ and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this grant to eligible payments under contracts procured under this Project.

Payments by CDB will be made only at the request of the CARICOM Secretariat and, upon approval by CDB, and will be subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement. The Grant Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. No party other than CARICOM Secretariat shall derive any rights from the Grant Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Grant.

The following consultancy services assignments will be procured under the Project:

(a)        DevInfo Project Management and Implementation Planning;

(b)        Sensitization of Policy/Decision Makers and Training of Line Ministries;

(c)        DevInfo Training at:

1.   National DevInfo Administrators and Users Workshops; and
2.   Regional Train-the-Trainer Workshops.

It is expected that these services will be procured during the period February 2014 to August 2014.

Consultants from the member countries of CDB will be eligible to participate in these procurement opportunities.
